When I was thinking about what subject I should choose for opening post at the same time it happened that several good PTC sites such an elite Twickerz (all Zigma Network Sites), very promising Family Clix, long lasting CashnHits (partly because of hackers) and some others faced with problems because of PayPal. Even absolute hit of 2015. Traffic Monsoon is removing PayPal and transferring funds to Payza. I hope those sites will survive and that members will support them during transition from PayPal to Payza. All this brings me to today’s post because I think it might be good for everyone to know a bit more about this matter.
Most of experienced clickers know this is not first time or something exceptional. Many times PayPal has frozen or permanently closed or limited accounts of PTC sites and many of them couldn’t survive because they strongly relay on PayPal.
It’s a fact: PayPal has destroyed and it’s responsible for the end of many PTC sites. Even in many cases PayPal was right and have manage to protect own clients it stay unclear what criteria PayPal use when judging PTC sites. It is more unclear because they almost never give an explanation. Most of people will say it’s an arrogant approach but it’s like that and nothing can be changed.
Please do not get me wrong, PayPal is probably the best existing payment processor but simply it’s not convenient for PTC sites. Even there are some PTC sites who regularly use PayPal for years those are just exceptions who confirms the rule. If you want to make money with PTC sites you should seriously consider to use another processor.
Remember: PTC sites and PayPal are not friends. It’s not good combination.
PTC owners should also consider this common and possible scenario and avoid PayPal since the very beginning. Even majority of clickers would preferably use PayPal and many will quit if it’s not an option it would be responsible for serious PTC owner to protect members and his site from unpredictable PayPal policy toward paid to click sites.
Probably the best choice would be to use Payza as a payment processor. Good thing about is that most if not all PTC sites have Payza as an option. Bad thing is that Payza sometimes have ridiculously high commission. Especially for smaller amounts that are common when it comes to PTC sites. Payza is in use in over 190 countries. Unfortunately, transferring money to bank account will cost you unreasonable commission. Nothing you can do about. In any way it’s best solution and probably the easiest.
Another choice would probably be Neteller, quite popular among PTC community. Many sites are adding BitCoins too as an alternative. I am not much familiar with those so I will not talk about.
If you have experience with other processors please be free to share with us.
Other processors include Ego Pay, Solid Trust, Perfect Money, Skrill, OK PAY…
There were more than few complains about hacked accounts so you can consider some of those (Perfect Money & Skrill) bit unsecure. Do not keep bigger amounts and do not use your main bank account or card.
To make things clear, PayPal is still working good for Traffic Exchanges*.
(update November 2016*. – PayPal is not accepting Traffic Exchanges anymore. Hundreds of TE lost their accounts and can’t work anymore with PayPal)
My friendly advice for all, clickers and PTC owners, would be not to become dependable of PayPal’s good will and to use alternative processors since very beginning. Even not popular this decision will turn sooner or later into smart move and avoid many problems later.
It’s possible to make successful PTC site without PayPal.
